There are a few ways to reach the castle, but we chose to hike—and it was 100% worth it.
One of the most famous viewpoints is from Marienbrücke, a bridge that gives you that postcard-perfect view of the castle perched against the mountains.

By late afternoon, we made our way back to Halblech and stopped at the grocery store to pick up ingredients for dinner.
That night was simple and perfect:
- Cooking dinner in our Airbnb
- Enjoying the wine our host left for us
- Watching a movie after a full day of exploring
It was the kind of slow, cozy evening that makes a trip feel memorable.
